Recap: Dade Christian Crusaders vs. Ransom Everglades Raiders
The Dade Christian Crusaders were the 52-34 winner over the Ransom Everglades Raiders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Dade Christian fell 49-40 to Ransom Everglades on Friday.
Dade Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kenvenson Malivert and Joshua Berdugo. Malivert dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Berdugo scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Malivert is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kevin Rojo, who scored 5 points.
Ransom Everglades found their leader in underclassman Zeke Battier, who scored 27 points along with 8 rebounds. The match was Battier's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Quinn Pegg was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Dade Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ransom Everglades, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dade Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Ransom Everglades, they will face off against LaSalle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. LaSalle is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
