Basketball Game Preview: Mill Creek Hawks vs. Discovery Titans

The Mill Creek Hawks will take on the Discovery Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mill Creek will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Mill Creek needed a bit of extra time to put away Dacula. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 61-59. While the Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Discovery, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 victory over Greene County on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mill Creek's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Discovery, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Mill Creek lost to Discovery at home by a decisive 65-51 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Mill Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
