Volleyball Recap: Arlington's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Arlington was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wakefield Memorial on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spy Ponders came up short against the Winchester Red & Black on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spy Ponders have suffered since April 3rd.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-13.

Arlington's offense was headlined by Steve Choi and Matthew Lee, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ian Lewis and his 15 assists. Finally, Noah Jepsen kept Arlington's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Arlington's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Winchester, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Arlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Lexington on the 6th. Winchester has also already played their next match (against Woburn Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
