Basketball Game Preview: Groveport-Madison Cruisers vs. Pickerington Central Tigers

Groveport-Madison hasn't had much luck against Pickerington Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Groveport-Madison Cruisers will host the Pickerington Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Groveport-Madison has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 223 points over their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, Groveport-Madison came up short against Reynoldsburg and fell 86-73. While losing is never fun, the Cruisers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Raiders are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Pickerington Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 60-52 to Newark.

Groveport-Madison's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for Pickerington Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Groveport-Madison was able to grind out a solid win over Pickerington Central in their previous meeting back in January, winning 57-47. Does Groveport-Madison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pickerington Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
