Softball Recap: Randolph Comes Up Short

Randolph's tournament run continued when they took on United South on Saturday. The Randolph Ro-Hawks fell 7-2 to the United South Panthers.

Randolph saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Megeath, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Taylor Doan also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Randolph has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. The win (which was United South's third in a row) raised their record to 7-8-2.

Coming up, Randolph will venture away from home to take on Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for United South, they will take on Devine in a tournament on Saturday. Devine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
