Homestead got themselves on the board against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Monday, but Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian never followed suit. They skirted past the Braves 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Luke Haley, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian off the board.

Homestead's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homestead will take on Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will square off against Adams Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
