Softball Recap: Hertford County Comes Up Short

Hertford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Currituck County Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Currituck County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hertford County will host Currituck County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Currituck County, they will be playing at home against Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Currituck County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
