Kelsey Holbert named National Girls Soccer Player of the Week presented by Playtex Sport

Kelsey Holbert has helped take Lyons (LaGrange, Ill.) deep into prestigious tourneys.

has made plenty of big-time showings this year, and
Kelsey Holbert has been a big part of the big-time performances.
The senior midfielder helped her team advance to the quarterfinals of the Naperville Invitational and also was integral in taking Lyons to the title game of the Pepsi Showdown (
highlights). It all adds up to Holbert earning the National Player of the Week honors presented by Playtex Sport.
Holbert has 10 goals and four assists this year in 15 matches and Lyons is on the cusp of being ranked in the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Girls Soccer Rankings. Earlier this year Lyons was in the top 25 but suffered a setback.
