Basketball Game Preview: Fairley Bulldogs vs. Melrose Golden Wildcats

The Fairley Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Melrose Golden Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairley will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Fairley played against St. George's and lost via forfeit.

Melrose took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They strolled past Mitchell with points to spare, taking the game 52-35. The Golden Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Melrose's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Fairley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Fairley was taken down by Melrose 50-16 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Fairley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
