Indiana Crossroads recap October 22, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Triton Central, who took down 106th ranked Speedway, 31-7. Dillon Nelson threw for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 11 yards during the win.

Fans got a thrill when Nelson and Dylan Spivey connected against the Sparkplugs. The connection went for 62 yards, the longest such play in Indiana Crossroads this season.

Jake Purichia threw for 339 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 14-26 with 2 interceptions.

Jonah Thacker was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 124 yards on 24 carries as the Tigers beat Shenandoah. Teammate Nelson added to the ground attack by rushing for 11 yards.

The Raiders' Purichia and Hagan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Purichia has thrown for 2,248 yards this season, while Hagan has 45 catches for 767 yards. Justin Brent from Speedway leads the league in rushing with 1,019 yards.

Thacker of the Triton Central is only 92 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Thacker has rushed for 908 yards on 168 carries so far this year.

An important game coming up in Indiana Crossroads this week will be when Park Tudor takes on Denny Pelley's team. The Panthers are in seventh place, while the Sparkplugs are in fourth place.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Raiders, 63-35. The victory was the fourth in a row for Ty Hunt's team.
