Soccer Recap: Lead Southeast Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Lead Southeast had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the KIPP Global Huskies on Tuesday. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Lead Southeast couldn't quite close it out.

They hit KIPP Global with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Cruz Banegas, Arthur Mendoza-Valdivia, and Carlos Mendez.

KIPP Global's victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lead Southeast will challenge Glencliff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glencliff's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for KIPP Global, they are taking a road trip to face off against Stratford at 5:30 p.m. on April 2.
