Softball Recap: Kingsburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Kingsburg entered their tilt with Kerman on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on April 1st.

Kerman's batters probably weren't too happy with Alyanna 'Yaya' Gonzales, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (she gave up two walks).

At the plate, Parker Woods was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Kingsburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-11. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kerman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Kingsburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 victory against Reedley on the 29th. Kerman has also already played their next contest (against Washington Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
