Baseball Recap: New Caney Comes Up Short

New Caney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Oaks Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three runs.

New Caney's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Grand Oaks, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

While New Caney had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
