Softball Recap: Castle Rock Comes Up Short

Castle Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Toutle Lake Ducks. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Ducks since on Friday.

Castle Rock's record now sits at 0-8. As for Toutle Lake, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Castle Rock will square off against Fort Vancouver at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Toutle Lake, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winlock at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.17 runs per game on average), something the Ducks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
