Holmes had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt First Flight on Friday. The Aces put the hurt on the Nighthawks with a sharp 3-0 win. The Aces haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-11.

Mariah Miller paced Holmes' offense, picking up ten kills. Miller got some help from Harper Evans and her 28 assists. Evans was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Holmes' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for First Flight, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
