Football Recap: Newberry Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Newberry Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They took a blow against the Laurens Academy Crusaders, falling 42-14. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Laurens Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-14 back in August.

As for Laurens Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1. That looming 42-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Leading Laurens Academy to victory were Caleb Hardy and Ethan Collins. Hardy gained 245 total yards and three touchdowns, while Collins threw for 179 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. The dominant performance also gave Hardy a new career-high in rushing yards (135).
