Alex Brandt gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April on Monday. He was unstoppable, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Pillager's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Brandt and Pillager will take on Staples-Motley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies are 6-1 against the Cardinals going back to April of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
