Soccer Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster lost against Quartz Hill back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lancaster Eagles took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quartz Hill Royals.

Angelo Newsome and Arthur Palomera scored both of Lancaster's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Lancaster has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-3-2 record this season. As for Quartz Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will venture away from home to challenge Littlerock at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Littlerock will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight. As for Quartz Hill, they are taking a road trip to face off against Knight at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Knight is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.8 goals per game this season.
