Baseball Recap: Bolles Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Bolles won against IMG Academy Gold last Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bolles Bulldogs beat the Mandarin Mustangs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Kline Cummings looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bolles saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Denzel Del Valle Delgado, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bolles pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Mandarin, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coming up, Bolles will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Kenny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bolles is facing Bishop Kenny at the right time seeing as Bishop Kenny is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mandarin, they will take on St. Augustine at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mandarin's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so St. Augustine's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
