Basketball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

East Central was the 48-35 winner over Connersville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The East Central Trojans fell to the Connersville Spartans 41-35. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connersville was led to victory by Jadan Peterson and Hunter Allen. Peterson posted 14 points and six rebounds, while Allen went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least a third of Connersville's points. Grady Simpkins was another key player, putting up five points.

East Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Connersville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

When East Central and Connersville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. East Central will challenge Batesville and their eight-game winning streak at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. East Central is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Connersville will try to stop Greensburg's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
