Soccer Game Preview: Millard North vs. Omaha Central

The Millard North Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Omaha Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millard North will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Millard North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Papillion-LaVista South, who was ranked 14th at the time (Millard North was ranked fourth). The Mustangs skirted past the Titans 2-1. That's two games straight that Millard North have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Omaha Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Benson with a sharp 4-0 victory on Friday. Considering Omaha Central have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Delphin Majawila and Siidi Adan scored all four of Omaha Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Omaha Central's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Millard North, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Everything went Millard North's way against Omaha Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Millard North made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
