Softball Recap: Courtland Cougars vs. Spotsylvania Knights
Courtland lost against Spotsylvania back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Knights, falling 15-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Courtland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Attard, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Another was Brooklyn Buchanan, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Courtland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Spotsylvania, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Looking ahead, Courtland will head out to face off against Atlee at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Spotsylvania, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against King George on the 20th.
