Baseball Recap: Stratton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Stratton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wiley Panthers with a sharp 12-2 victory on Friday. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Wiley's batters probably weren't too happy with Gabriel Hornung, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up three walks). Hornung also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Stratton is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Von Isenbart was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Stratton is 4-1 when Isenbart posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Dominic Hornung was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Wiley, they dropped their record down to 4-14-1 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stratton will venture away from home to take on Otis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wiley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
