Softball Recap: Tecumseh Has No Trouble Against Monroe

Tecumseh barely beat Monroe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Trojans 11-3 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kennedi Fulton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Ashlyn Moorehead was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Juozapaitis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Tecumseh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Tecumseh back to even at 5-5. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Tecumseh will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
