Softball Recap: Windermere Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Windermere can now relate to. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Ridge Knights on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 last Thursday.

Windermere saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tessa Olofson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Windermere's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for East Ridge, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Windermere does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Ridge, they will challenge Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sailors have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
