Fairfield came tearing into Monday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Elkhart Elks to the tune of 59-23. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Elkhart had strong showings from Shu'Nydeya Whitehead, who posted 11 points, and Lilly Gay, who had nine points.

Fairfield pushed their record up to 26-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points over those games. As for Elkhart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-21.
