Football Recap: Romeoville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Oswego East Wolves and fell 51-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Wolves are ranked 90th).

When it comes to explaining why Romeoville lost, don't look at Keilan Winfield. Despite the final result, he picked up 131 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Romeoville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oswego East, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Romeoville will welcome Joliet Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Steelmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oswego East, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Yorkville at 7:00 p.m. The Foxes' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Wolves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
