Softball Recap: Suwannee Takes a Loss

Suwannee managed to slip by Madison County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Cowboys on Thursday, falling 12-3. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Suwannee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maylee Gabey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Gabey has hit this season.

Suwannee's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Suwannee will face off against Fort White at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison County, they will challenge North Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Cowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
