Softball Recap: Champaign Central Takes a Loss

Champaign Central and Rochester squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Champaign Central had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the Rockets. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Maroons, who until this contest were averaging 1.93 runs allowed.

Champaign Central's defeat dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Rochester, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Champaign Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rochester, they will head out to take on Glenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight.
