Baseball Recap: Havelock Comes Up Short

Havelock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the D.H. Conley Vikings, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for D.H. Conley, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Looking ahead, Havelock will take on East Carteret at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for D.H. Conley, they will square off against J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.1, the Rampants 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
