Softball Recap: Perth Amboy Victorious

Perth Amboy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Carteret Ramblers by a score of 13-8. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Ramblers: they've now won six in a row.

Gabriella Reyes was incredible, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiarelys Santiago, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Perth Amboy lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Perth Amboy's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Carteret, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Perth Amboy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Rahway at 10:00 a.m. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season. As for Carteret, they are taking a road trip to take on Harrison at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
