Volleyball Recap: Mulberry Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mulberry had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lake Region Thunder. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The win didn't come easy: Lake Region scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24, 25-21.

Mateus Cusmanich paced Mulberry's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cusmanich got some help from Jayden Williams and his 30 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Mulberry pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lake Region, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mulberry will challenge rival Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake Region is set to take on their familiar foe Lake Wales at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
