Football Recap: Meridian Has No Trouble Against Diller-Odell

Meridian hadn't done well against Diller-Odell recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs blew past the Griffin 45-21. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 47-26 win the Griffin walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Jayton Jones was a one-man wrecking crew as he picked up 118 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 92 yards and one score on only 12 carries. His longest reception was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Maddox Haake was another key player, throwing for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.
