Football Recap: Horn Jaguars vs. Berkner Rams
Horn was the 63-30 winner over Berkner when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Horn Jaguars fell just short of the Berkner Rams by a score of 36-33 on Friday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Horn still got an impressive performance from Cedonyae Lott, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Lott's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodney Franklin, who rushed for 165 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Even though they lost, Horn was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 487 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Horn's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Berkner, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Horn will face off against Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berkner, they will welcome Little Elm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
