Basketball Game Preview: Gilmer County Titans vs. Webster County Highlanders

Gilmer County hasn't had much luck against Webster County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will take on the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Gilmer County has given up an average of 62.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gilmer County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Calhoun 71-68. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Webster County didn't have quite enough to beat Greenbrier West on Tuesday and fell 54-51.

Gilmer County's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Webster County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
