Baseball Recap: Round Mountain Comes Up Short

Round Mountain lost against Pahranagat Valley on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Round Mountain lost 17-7 to Pahranagat Valley.

Blake Bullington made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Swafford, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Round Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pahranagat Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Round Mountain will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spring Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on April 1. Spring Mountain has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something Round Mountain will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pahranagat Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-2 victory against GV Christian on the 25th.
