Football Recap: Mason County Central Comes Up Short

Mason County Central blew Hart out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Hart got their revenge. The Spartans fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 30-27.

Pierce Bladzik threw for 71 yards on five of 13 attempts.

Kyle Greiner was nothing short of spectacular for Hart: he rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown. Greiner is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 124 every time he's taken the field this season.

Mason County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hart, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mason County Central will head out to challenge Hesperia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hart, they will head out on the road to square off against Orchard View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
