Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers vs. Orangeburg Prep Indians
If St. John's Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 66-24 takedown of Clarendon Hall last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orangeburg Prep Indians on Monday.
Tilden Riley was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 31 points, 12 rebounds, and ten blocks for Orangeburg Prep. Riley's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Ravenell, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Orangeburg Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John's Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clarendon Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
