Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop England Battling Bishops vs. River Bluff Gators

Bishop England hasn't had much luck against River Bluff recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Battling Bishops will take on the Gators at 9:30 a.m.

Bishop England is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: North Myrtle Beach, who was ranked first at the time (Bishop England was ranked 20th). The Battling Bishops fell 2-0 to the Chiefs on Friday.

Meanwhile, River Bluff hadn't done well against Nation Ford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Gators walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Falcons. Winning may never get old, but the Gators sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Bishop England's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for River Bluff, their win bumped their record up to 23-10.

Bishop England came up short against River Bluff in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Battling Bishops avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
