Recap: Crooms Academy Panthers vs. First Academy Eagles
The Crooms Academy Panthers were the 60-49 winner over the First Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Crooms Academy fell to First Academy 68-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Crooms Academy lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Aristile. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. Aristile scored a full 41.3% of Crooms Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was D'Elio Cestero, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Crooms Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for First Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crooms Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against First Baptist Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully First Baptist Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday. As for First Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Geneva at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
