Basketball Game Preview: Larned Indians vs. Halstead Dragons

The Larned Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Halstead Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Larned will be strutting in after a win while Halstead will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Larned was able to grind out a solid victory over Nickerson, taking the game 47-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Halstead played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-41 to Pratt. The Dragons have struggled against the Greenbacks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Halstead's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Larned, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Larned came up short against Halstead in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 47-42. Can Larned avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
