Baseball Recap: Glenn Takes a Loss

Glenn came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-1 to the Elgin Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Glenn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Sandoval, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Josh Steffens also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-3. As for Elgin, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn will square off against Cedar Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elgin, they will take on East View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
