Baseball Recap: Poway Comes Up Short

Poway managed to slip by St. Augustine the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans came up short against the Saints on Wednesday, falling 12-6. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Jake Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Teagen Boren, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Poway's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Augustine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Poway has already played their next game (against Vista Grande), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Augustine, they will face off against Bonita Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
