While Monache's victory against Wasco wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Monache had just enough and edged out Wasco 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Danika Sanchez looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Amiee Rivas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Aalyha Mendoza also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Monache's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Wasco, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7-1.

Looking ahead, Monache will welcome Taft at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Monache's pitchers better be ready for this one: Taft has averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season. As for Wasco, they will head out to challenge Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something Wasco will no doubt try to take advantage of.
