Basketball Recap: Holmes County Blue Devils vs. Chipley Tigers
The Holmes County Blue Devils lost against the Chipley Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Holmes County lost to the Tigers on the road by a decisive 67-51 margin. Holmes County has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Albert McKinnie, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds for Chipley. Izayah Eldridge was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Holmes County now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Chipley, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Holmes County's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Atomics at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Chipley, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Vernon is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
