Softball Game Preview: Columbia Wildcats vs. Emmett Huskies

Columbia hasn't had much luck against Emmett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Neither Columbia nor Emmett posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Columbia is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 34th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 25-1 to Nampa.

Meanwhile, Emmett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Caldwell, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly ten runs.

Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Columbia might still be hurting after the 20-2 loss they got from Emmett in their previous matchup on April 2nd. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
