Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Killingly's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Killingly had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Rocky Hill Terriers with a sharp 12-3 victory on Tuesday. The Redmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Terriers, too.

Killingly is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Killingly will head out on the road to take on Waterford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Redmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Rocky Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
