Amador Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Clayton Valley Charter on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Dons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mai Falcone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Lauren Tran was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Amador Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Coming up, Amador Valley will head out on the road to square off against James Logan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amador Valley's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so James Logan's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they will welcome Castro Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Castro Valley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
