Auburn was sadly handed a defeat on Saturday, but Christian Gage did his best to prevent it. Gage turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Gage and Auburn will face off against Lincoln Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
