Basketball Game Preview: Canton South Wildcats vs. Northwest Indians

The Canton South Wildcats will head out to challenge the Northwest Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Canton South, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Canton South beat Carrollton 46-42. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 508th, while the Warriors are ranked 186th).

Meanwhile, Northwest suffered their biggest defeat since January 7th on Tuesday. They came up short against Louisville, falling 79-54. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Canton South, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Canton South was dealt a bruising 67-34 defeat at the hands of Northwest when the teams last played back in January. Can Canton South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
